Text Forwarding & Reply

TextP2P supports full text forwarding of SMS & MMS messages to your cell phone, and you can also reply to or text anyone directly from your cell phone without logging into the web application inbox!

On your account profile screen under the avatar, you have an option to turn on the Text Forwarding & Reply feature.  This does cost credits since it sends outgoing texts to the cell phone defined under the account information. Any new incoming text messages will be forwarded to your cell phone including pictures and media from an MMS message (2 credits per media). If an incoming message is an SMS and exceeds 160 characters, the message will be broken up into multiple segments, each 160 characters or less in length and each segment will cost 1 credit. As a reminder, all incoming text messages are free.

You also have the ability to reply or text anyone directly from your cell phone using your TextP2P virtual number. You will do this by sending a text message to your TextP2P virtual number but the text must start with @<mobile number> followed by the message you wish to send. The mobile number must be 10 digits and contain no other special characters such as (), -, spaces, etc.

Example. You could text the following message to your TextP2P virtual number:

@5551230000 This is a test message.

 The message "This is a test message" will be sent to phone number 555-123-0000 from your virtual number.
