How to change your assigned phone number

You can management your own TextP2P assigned phone numbers. If you want to change your existing dedicated number there is just a $2 one-time fee. Please familiarize yourself with the different types of numbers, fees, and limits by reading this help page.

The numbers are pooled so you do not have the ability of choosing which number the texts are sent from. If you have multiple numbers with different area codes, the system will attempt to match your number with the recipient of the same area code. Recipients are stuck to a number so that's the only number they will receive texts from.  The delivery rate is about 1-3 messages per second per phone number.  Sole Props and toll free number customers are limited to 1 phone number.  Local low volume brands can have up to 5 and standard brands can have more, but carriers prefer you to have just one. 

You can easily change your phone number or buy additional phone numbers by click on the "Manage Number button on your dashboard. There is also a menu option under the avatar in the upper right corner.

Local numbers & Toll free numbers cost $2/month but your first local number is included in your monthly subscription fee. Also there is a one-time $2 number change fee.

To change your assigned phone number, simply delete the existing phone number and then click the Add Phone Number button.

To purchase a new number, simply search for the area code that you want. Then select the numbers you wish to purchase by clicking the checkbox next to the available number. Finally clicking the Purchase button to complete the purchase.

Charges: There will be immediate charge for the phone number(s) purchased, and a recurring charge each month that is part of your subscription payment.
